Staff was great, very helpful.
I found a very large wolf spider in my room the last day of my stay!

comfortable room, since it was the top rated room.

My grand daughter had a great time in their fantastic pool. This pool was very clean and kept up well.
Would have been perfect if it had continental breakfast.

We have not stayed in a lot of hotels, but this was the absolute best.

Pool was nice, staff very friendly, felt like home.
Being on 4th floor, elevators were nice, but it got old carrying in luggage.

Very nice place to stay. From the minute we walked in, the staff helped with all of our needs. Gave us maps and directions to anything we asked. Would stay here on our next trip to Rapid City. Wish they had a laundry room there, didn't like going to the one that was nearby. They do offer laundry service, but we couldn't wait till the next day. ...read more

Cleanliness for one, staff at desk, etc. were great.
I liked all of it.

I think answering the questions with excellent ratings tells the whole story. It was a great hotel. My first time booking with priceline, you did a good job...I don't rate many things as excellent but both of us felt the same about our lodging. Great hotel! ...read more

There was some strange white plastic covering the window, you couldn't see outside.

Convenient location for touring the area.
Hotel restaurant was an attached Perkins. Also had a long check in process with lots of paperwork.

The Grand Gateway Hotel bills itself as a three star hotel. While it technically met the requirements for three star accommodations, the hotel falls short. Rooms are dark, and somewhat cramped. Beds and bedding is not up to three star standards. The hotel restaurant is a Perkins. Walls are thin, so be prepared to hear your neighbors. On the upside, the bar was nice, the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient. ...read more

The only thing I liked about this hotel was that it was located near the freeway and shopping.
Hotel was old and dingy. Room was not cleaned during our stay. Front desk personnel was not helpful when problems brought to their attention.

Nice pool, clean rooms good service, conveniently located.

This is a very reasonable and nice hotel conveniently located in the black hills, great location to get to any and all attractions including those that are south of the location like Custer park and Mt. Rushmore and crazy horse as well as those that are a little north like Deadwood and Devils Tower. Small but nice pool. Lots of business around to visit and get the things you may need. ...read more

The temperature in the pool area was very comfortable.

Although we probably should have stayed closer to Keystone, the hotel was wonderful. The staff was great. Perkins was conveniently located in the lobby. The pool with slide was a huge hit with my son.
